If you are concerned about what you use on your skin that is absorbed into your body this salve is for you. No preservatives! Nothing harmful, no chemicals.

There are five herbs in this salve: Chaparral, Calendula, Comfrey, Horsetail and Plantain. The healing and soothing properties of these herbs makes this salve useful for many skin ailments. New Stuff....

Still perfecting the Clear Skin for combination skin but it will be available soon.

The new herbal salve is in the tweaking phase and about to be added to the website.

I have finally found a true men's scent and will soon be making it into soap and after shave for men. It will be called Grande For Men. My husband says this is it!

Here's The Latest....

If you want all natural scented soap the new Lavender soap has been added to the site. In the future I will be formulating more scented soaps made with natural essential oils for you to choose from.

The all natural Clear Skin soap for oily skin, blemishes and acne is clearing up lots of faces but people with blemishes who don't have all over oily skin have been requesting I formulate a soap for blemished combination skin. IT's DONE! NEW CLEAR SKIN soap for COMBINATION SKIN! Yes! This will be added to the website for sale in the near future.

This summer I will be growing my own Arnica and Calendula flowers for use in my herbal salves. Growing my own herbs means I am absolutely sure they have not been sprayed with herbicides or insect sprays.

Watch for an announcement in the future of a new 'Heal All' herbal salve I am working on.

Shopping Cart Shipping Charges

Automatically calculated shipping costs really frustrate me, and probably my customers as well.

Today I tested these and discovered the cost for shipping one bar of soap was $6.10. I don't think so! I can send you one bar of soap for around $1.50 USPS parcel post.

Rest assured folks, as it states in my shipping information on the site, you will not be over charged for postage. I will send a refund in your package for any amount over charged, so don;t let that postage keep you from ordering.

Your Ability To See Website Changes

I just discovered a short while back that if you never or rarely clean your history and temporary files out of your PC that you may seeing old versions of websites without current changes.

This would mean you don't see the new products and soaps on Michigan Country Soapworks. Not a good thing. It also likely means your PC is crammed with junk files and will run much faster if you clean it out.

Just thought I'd pass this info on for those who may not know it.

Til next time!

Products Update

I can't keep the insect spray in stock. People are hungry for an all natural spray that actually works. You can use this without fear that you are putting chemicals on your skin and it smells good. It gets good use with all of us who work outside at the greenhouse. The bugs fly near and then leave.

Foot Spray for Odor

'NEW FEET' foot spray is a great product for stinky shoes and feet. Foot odor is caused by bacteria. Essential oils that are antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic help kill and control the bacteria. The spray is a very fine mist and only a small amount is needed to refresh your feet.

Herbal Salve Information

If you interested in reducing the use of products containing chemicals, the herbal salves offered by Michigan Country Soapworks will be a good choice for you. I use only organically grown herbs, some of which I grow myself. The herbs are first infused in either Apricot Kernal Oil or Rice Bran Oil, (both of which are good for your skin), and then these oils are used to make the salves.

I make the salves only a few at a time so that they are always fresh when you purchase them.
